Rekindled
Soy candles poured into rescued china and 70s pottery, sold one piece at a time from a small studio in Leeds.
Measured, not claimed
Google Lighthouse, run against the live site on a simulated phone after the last deploy. Measured 2 hours ago.
The brief
Every Rekindl candle is a one-off: a rescued vessel, filled once, never repeated. A standard shop template treats products as stock with a quantity. Here a piece that sells has to vanish from the basket of everyone else at that moment, and still stay on the site as a record of what was made. The old contact form had also been losing every enquiry.
The build
A lamp-lit storefront on the shared studio toolkit: warm brown-black, candle ivory and one amber accent. Every card says one of one, or sold. A stock lock stops the same piece selling twice when two people check out together. Stripe and PayPal take the payment. A markets page lists the next stall dates with event markup for Google. In the admin, the owner photographs a piece anywhere, picks a style, and the image studio replaces the background and light while leaving the candle untouched.
The result
A shop that looks like the candles do, sells each piece exactly once, and tells people which market to find the stall at this week. Enquiries now arrive in an inbox instead of disappearing.
