The studio is in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. Most clients are small businesses in Leeds and West Yorkshire, but the work travels well: current clients are in Devon, Suffolk and Leeds, and everything from the first call to launch can happen over video and email.

What do you actually do?

Design and build websites and online shops, make them fast and findable, and then host and look after them. One person does all of it, so the person you email is the person who writes the code.

How much does a website cost?

A build is quoted as a fixed price after a conversation about what the site has to do; you know the number before work starts. Ongoing care and the one-off packages have published prices on the pricing page, so there is nothing to ask for.

How long will it take?

A brochure site usually takes six to eight weeks from the first call to launch. A shop or a booking system takes longer, typically eight to sixteen weeks, because there is more to get right.

Can you work on a website someone else built?

For search and speed work, yes: the tune-up package is designed for exactly that. For design changes or new features on someone else's build, it depends on what it is made of; ask, and you will get a straight answer.

What happens after launch?

The first month of tweaks is included. After that a care plan covers hosting, backups, monitoring, updates and support, and you can start or stop it from your client account.
