One studio, one person, since 2014.

PixelCodeLab is the independent studio of Luke Ellis, a senior software engineer in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, building websites for small businesses that live on their reputation.

The studio stays deliberately small: a few carefully chosen projects at a time, each getting senior-engineer attention from first wireframe to last deploy. Most clients are in Leeds and West Yorkshire; some are in Devon and Suffolk, because good work travels.

Every site the studio builds runs on the same platform it built for itself: fast hosting, an audit that has to pass before a deploy goes out, uptime checked every five minutes, nightly backups, and an enquiries inbox and review feed the client can see. That platform is what a care plan buys.
